What to take on a holiday

What to take on a holiday in the Carpathians

Carpathians are popular with tourists at any time of the year. Lovers are basking in the warm comfort of comfortable hotels with a swimming pool. Those who like active and even extreme rest can choose between cycling, quad biking and, of course, descent from snow-covered slopes on skis and snowboards.

Infrastructure in the Carpathians is well developed. But this applies to regional centers and large cities. However, rest in a small village and, especially, in a tent in the middle of the forest, requires preparation.

What to bring with you

Regardless of the time of the year, it’s worth taking the following things with yourself:

  • Cash. The currency should be changed in advance for hryvnia, as it is impossible to find an exchange office in a small town, moreover with a favorable rate. At ATMs, too, do not count.
  • First Aid Kit. Take the ointment from bruises, iodine and bandage, so as not to waste time searching for them if necessary. If you are forced to take regular medications — also grab them with you, and do not rely on local pharmacies.
  • Hygiene products. Wet napkins, soap and toilet paper should be taken with you, especially if you have to rest with children.
  • Chargers for gadgets. This item does not need comments, since electronic devices have become a part of our life.

This is what you need to take with you regardless of the time of year. Winter and summer holidays have their own characteristics.
